Understanding how other people tick and finding the best way to work together is a crucial skill for anyone in the workplace. For comms people it’s particularly important as we build relationships and help shape the culture of our organisations.
Many of us will have experience with systems that help identify personality types and Myers-Briggs is one of the oldest and best-known. Inspired by the work of Carl Jung, mother-daughter team Katherine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers created their personality preference indicator during World War II and it’s still widely used today.
Our workshop lead Sue Mellor believes the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an invaluable tool in the journey of insight and self-awareness, helping foster growth and enhance communication for teams and individuals.
Sue will give us a taster of how this powerful framework can help us gain insights into our personality types, enhancing self-awareness and interpersonal relationships. The session aims to help us communicate more effectively, collaborate more efficiently, and build stronger, more cohesive teams. And it’ll be loads of fun too!
Sue is a registered nurse by background and has worked extensively in the NHS. She has been coaching for 24 years and has an MA in Research and Coaching and Mentoring Practice. She is qualified in several psychometrics and uses them for team coaching and 1-1.
