We're all going to have to deal with a crisis at some point in our comms careers - and Amanda's experience at the rockface can help
A lot has happened in the past four years and in these uncertain times being ready for crises, emergencies and critical situations is essential. Amanda will talk through the key issues in managing crises in 2024 and what it means for communicators.
Among the subjects will be globalisation, polarisation, moral outrage and bad behaviour including gaslighting. And, as is mandatory when talking about the future of communications, there may be a mention of artificial intelligence.
For more than 20 years Amanda has worked on the inside of leading and responding to some of the biggest crisis incidents and sustained reputational attacks. Being in the room advising senior law enforcement officers and other leaders taught her a huge amount about leadership, resilience and how to be ready and able to respond when people and processes are put to the test.
Now running her own crisis comms consultancy, Amanda brings her experience and approach into the boardroom and to the communication team so that organisations and businesses can feel prepared.
She is the author of Crisis Communication Strategies, a first-timer in the field and a novice camper – we got your back Amanda!
