Jenni’s impressive career story is enough to make many of us wonder what on earth we’ve been doing with our lives!
Starting out as a probation officer, Jenni soon found herself working at the Home Office, eventually becoming director of policy and research. Not only that, she was also champion for women and actively involved in working for race equality. On a posting to help improve the criminal justice service in Turkey she was the only woman and the only black person at the Ministry of Justice.
She’s worked with the national counter-terrorism unit at Scotland Yard and the Independent Police Complaints Commission, where she helped establish their governance.
Following CEO roles for Hampshire Police Authority and Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner, she now holds a non-executive portfolio that includes the English Cricket Board.
Her roles within health include a stint as Director of Equality and Inclusion at NHS England and she is currently the Chair of the Dorset Integrated Care Board (NHS Dorset) and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
